From the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, brothers Allan and Rick Spinney formed their first band in 1992 to play the tradition, southern-flavoured bluegrass music they love and showcase their tight, brother-duet vocal style.

Since then the Spinney Brothers have created a musical identity which includes traditional favourites and original songs influenced by the first-generation blugrass legends.

The Spinney Brothers is comprised of Allan Spinney, guitar, vocals, Rick Spinney, banjo, vocals, Gary Dalrymple, mandolin and Terry Mumford, bass.
