About The P.E.I. Bluegrass & Old Time Music Festival

Welcome to our Summer Festival, July 3-5, 2026!

The P.E.I. Bluegrass & Old Time Music Festival draws some of the very best entertainment in Bluegrass and Old Time genres of music, hiring acts from across the United States and Canada, to perform at the annual festival on the Dundas Fairgrounds, 260 Little River Road.  Musicians, returning patrons, new attendees, both young and old, come out year after year; some have attended every year since the first festival was held in 1985.

The PEIBOTMS welcomes all individuals to its music events, working to actively involve and strengthen partnerships with people encouraging them to be part of this organization. Society volunteers learn about new cultures and experiences as new people are welcomed to our events.

FAQ’s

Questions and Answer

Can I fill up my RV water tank with fresh potable water onsite?

Yes!  When you arrive at the GATE, tell the parkers that you want to fill
up your water tank before going to a parking spot for the weekend.
You will be guided to the water taps and then to your site.

How can I buy my tickets? And how much do tickets cost?

You can purchase tickets at the gate when you arrive or in advance by e-transfer. Check out the Tickets page.  Ticket prices vary depending on when you choose to attend the festival. There is a reduced rate with advanced ticket sales until June 1st.  We’ve combined our seniors rate with our advance weekend pass and offered a deeper discount for even greater savings if you purchase by June 1st. Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable.  

Do I have to reserve my site ahead of time?

No.  With an approximately 99 acre property, there is lots of room. We work on a “first-come, first-served” basis. There are no water and electrical hook-ups.

Will there be food & drink vendors available on site?

An ice cream stand and hot food vendor will be on site for your food and beverage needs. Other product vendors may apply to set up on the grounds. However, we are not a liquor licensed event.

Is there an open mic I can sign up for?

We offer two open mic stages on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
Just ask at the gate where to sign up.

Do you allow campfires?

Campfires are not permitted on the festival grounds.

Is there a dump station on site? Propane?

No.  We will have a list of dump stations at Ways & Means in the Plowman’s Hall.

RV Propane sites are available at a 24 hr. Irving Station, St. Peter’s Road, Charlottetown and at U-Haul Rentals, Capital Drive, Charlottetown.

Are there serviced campsites?

The Dundas Fairgrounds is not equipped with serviced sites.
Rough camping is included in the weekend pass fees and sites are
large to accommodate all types of tents and RV trailers and motorhomes.

Am I able to purchase or bring any alcohol on site?

You are not able to purchase alcohol onsite, but you can bring alcohol with you. We ask that you adhere to our festival rules and keep the alcohol at your campsite. Alcohol is not permitted in the stage area.

Is there a chance for me to meet the artists and buy merchandise?

Most artists set up merchandise tents for you to have a conversation or to buya CD or two. Be sure to ask for their autographs!

May I use video or audio recording devices?

Please tape the shows and post on social media with hashtag #peibluegrassdundas.

Can I bring my pet?

Yes! Pets are to be on leash at all times and picked up after.
Pets have their very own allocated pet-friendly area. Look for pet signage.

What is the PEI Bluegrass & Old Time Music Society?

The PEI Bluegrass & Old Time Music Society is a non-profit, volunteer organization, formed
in 1985. Members are dedicated individuals who promote keeping the bluegrass and
old time music genres alive on PEI. Its volunteers have operated an annual Festival
since 1985, hosted fundraising concerts, workshops and organized music Jams throughout
the year to build a bluegrass and old time music community of like-minded people.
